I'd like to be able to POST a form to Lulu to add items to my visitor's shopping cart.
I publish a range of books including multi-volume sets and would like to keep customers on my site until they have made their selections before being sent to "Checkout on Lulu.com".
The format could be similar to Paypal's web form but maybe simpler:
Thank you for the API idea. This will be a part of our e-commerce APIs, which are currently under discussion. We will definitely keep people aware of what we are doing as we make more progress.
I'm also really interested in the e-commerce API. I'm currently in the process of doing research for a project that deals with "live books". I was wondering if there's something like a checkout API planned as well (where basically the entire ordering process would take place on the projects website)?
A checkout API is absolutely in the planning phase. This will take a bit longer to complete, but our goal is sometime next summer to have a first cut for beta users.

product_id_1 => 12xxx2
qty_1 => 1
product_id_2 => 12xxx9
qty_2 => 3
etc.

Hi Ryan,
I'm also really interested in the e-commerce API. I'm currently in the process of doing research for a project that deals with "live books". I was wondering if there's something like a checkout API planned as well (where basically the entire ordering process would take place on the projects website)?
kind regards,

I'm sorry, I just read the other post about the purchasing API, that basically answers my question.

I would be very interested in using a beta version.
Will it be announced in the developers area?
best,
Richard

Absolutely, it will either be announced in the forum or as part of the blog. If you keep watching, we'll let you know when it is available.
