Migration to SSL

  1. We are in the process of working with Mashery to migrate all Lulu APIs to SSL to enhance security. Upon completion of this process, all API calls and requests will require use of the https:// protocol. Please take steps to prepare your applications for this change, and subscribe to the RSS feed for this topic as we will soon post the exact date the migration will go into effect. We will provide at least 24 hours advance notice, and work to quickly update all the documentation to reflect this change. Thanks for your patience as we work to better protect the valuable proprietary information of all our clients.

We are close to completing our testing, and plan to finish the migration of all Lulu APIs to SSL within 2 weeks. I will post the exact date and time on the portal home page soon--stay tuned! Note that the change will take effect immediately on the switchover date, all applications will need to use the https:// protocol moving forward.

Lulu will officially switch to SSL for all APIs on Friday, September 17, at 10:00 AM Eastern (U.S.). All API calls and requests will require use of the https:// protocol at that time, and attempts to access the API servers via http:// will fail. We will start propagating DNS changes early next week, and there will be a period of time where access via both SSL and http:// will be possible. Once you are able to successfully access the API servers via SSL, even if it is prior to September 17, you can safely make the switchover to https:// in your applications to ensure uninterrupted service throughout the transition period.

We will be updating the documentation next week to reflect the changes. Please post any questions as replies to this thread to ensure they are addressed promptly.
