Are there any plans to be able to purchase books through the API? I believe that back in the days of the old SOAP API this was in alpha/beta, but I never got around to trying it out. It would be fantastic to be able to keep the whole Lulu part of process transparent to the user to avoid confusion.
I wanted to close the loop on this topic. We are working on two separate APIs for purchasing through Lulu.
The first API will allow you to accept payment, and send us a list of orders to fulfill. This API is under development now, and our goal is to release it early next year. In order to use this API, you will need a new API key, and it will require a formal business relationship with Lulu, because of the nature of the billing.
The second API will allow you to have Lulu process the payment on your behalf. This is a much more complex API due to PCI compliance, so we aren't as sure when it will be released, but it is a part of our roadmap.
